Tips for Using the Database organicXseeds
This database is a requirement of EU Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and 889/2008 which regulates the use of seeds and seed potatoes in organic farming. The database is funded by The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and managed by the Soil Association, working in partnership with FiBL.
You can use this website to search for available organic seeds, vegetative propagation material and seed potatoes. The website is designed to be used by organic farmers and growers to find organic seeds, certification bodies to help authorize derogations and seed companies looking to sell certified organic seeds. If you search the database and find the varieties you need are not available you must seek a derogation from your certification body before purchasing non-organic seeds.
We will do our best to keep this database as up-to-date as possible. Please help us to do this by notifying us of any errors regarding the availability of varieties at oxs(at)soilassociation.org.
The database manager and administrators cannot be held liable for the seeds used and varieties selected.Ireland Annual Non-organic Seed Authorisation Report for 2022 Facts (Ireland Annual Non-organic Seed Authorisation Report 2022)
